Icon 2010 Lineup

Icon hasn’t been slacking over the winter – the 2010 Icon Lineup features 8 helmets, 5 jackets, 2 vests, a pair of pants, 4 pairs of gloves, a pair of boots, a range of casual wear and several female-specific pieces. Overall, Icon seems to have refined a few designs for the spring 2010 lineup, and has used different styling to bring a unique look to each of these designs.

Helmets

Icon offers 8 new helmets for 2010, which are essentially 4 designs with different styling options. All of the helmets are DOT certified, and each offers additional safety certifications, so they’ll all protect your head. One helmet design features an anti-lift visor for reduced glare, a removable Hydrady moisture-wicking liner, and a removable chin curtain. Another model features a carbon fiber shell that only weighs 1450 grams in size medium. This year’s lineup also features some unique designs, including the pink “Airframe Street Angel” design for women, or the designs that feature an optional FSB fin kit for a really unusual horned look.

Jackets & Vests

ICON’s 2010 lineup includes 5 jackets and 2 vests. The “Victory Metal God” is a limited edition leather jacket with custom cast-metal trims and a really unique look. The rest of the Icon 2010 jacket lineup features nylon textile and mesh textile shells for riding in whatever weather condition suits you. Icon doesn’t skip the protective features on its textile jackets, with ballistic impact panels, removable CE field armor and adjustable fit. ICON’s 2010 lineup features removable liners, integrated venting and the unusual graphic styling that makes Icon jackets ICON.

The 2010 lineup also features two vests; one women’s leather vest with hard back armor, and a Mil Spec Field Armor Vest that meets Mil Spec high visibility requirements and provides armor at the same time.

Gloves and Footwear

For the 2010 lineup, Icon has rolled out four pairs of gloves and one pair of boots. The four pairs of gloves are all based on the same design, which includes a short cuff, injected plastic knuckle armor, an abrasion-resistant goatskin palm and a pre-curved palm and finger design. Two of the gloves have the unique Icon graphic styling, while one of the gloves is plain and one pair is actually a pink glove for women. The footwear is actually a pair of boots for women, with a wedge high heel, a metal heel plate and internal ankle and insole padding.

Street Angel Women’s Lineup

Women are still underrepresented in the world of motorcycle gear, but manufacturers are learning and Icon has rolled out a women’s “Street Angel” lineup for 2010. The Street Angel lineup includes a pink helmet and gloves, high-heeled boots and a fitted leather jacket and vest. For pants, the Street Angel lineup includes a pair of stylish nylon chaps. All of the Street Angel gear is designed based on women’s fits, and with sexy graphical styling that biker chicks will appreciate. The Street Angel lineup also includes casual t-shirts, a hoodie and a hat.
